Overview

AdventHealth Medical Group formerly Florida Hospital Medical Group is looking for two dynamic and energetic invasive/noninvasive (non-interventional) cardiologists to join our team at AdventHealth Celebration (website). These cardiologists must be proficient in performing nuclear tests and preferably TEE's. This employed opportunity would total four cardiologists to start as we launch a new Acute MI/PCI program at AdventHealth Celebration formerly Florida Hospital CelebrationHealth, led by Dr.

Rohit Bhatheja. Practice in a beautiful location, approximately 30 minutes south of downtown Orlando. This would be an excellent opportunity to help start and grow a program in a hospital with over 80,000 emergency visits per year and the closest hospital in proximity to Walt Disney World.

Responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient cardiology care. Ideal candidates will have practice building experience. Recent graduates/early career (within 5 years) willing to build a practice will be considered as well.

The AH CVI is centered in a tertiary facility known as AdventHealth Orlando with a newly opened Ginsburg Tower. This 15-story sanctuary of healing offers patients a full range of comprehensive heart and vascular care, including 12 hybrid operating rooms housing electrophysiology, vascular and invasive cardiology.

Requirements for the position: Board Certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty board certification in Cardiovascular Disease.

The hospital consistently delivers a state-of-the-art healing environment to residents of Osceola, Orange, Polk and Lake Counties, as well as to visitors from across the United States and the world. All within a 'living laboratory' of groundbreaking, research-driven clinical solutions that integrate mind, body and spirit in the defeat of illness and disease. Department Profile: The Invasive and Noninvasive Diagnostic Cardiology Department consists of diagnostics, cath lab, and seven pre and post recovery rooms. Alongside cardiac catheterizations, we also perform cardioversions, tilt table tests, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Our team is comprised of Registered Nurses, Cardiovascular Technologists and Radiologic Technologists Work Hours/Shifts: M-F 4/10s 6.30AM - 5PM * $5,000 Sign-on Bonus available for eligible candidates (see terms below) Job Summary: The Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist III performs a wide range of technical skills, which are utilized during a variety of Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients. The Technologist is proficient in all aspects of angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation and monitoring consistent with the policies, procedures and processes of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration. Adheres to the guidelines and standards of professional practice associations. Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required: * Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Nursing, Radiologic Technology or Respiratory Therapy * Coronary intervention procedure experience (minimum 500 hours in dedicated cardiac interventional laboratories at a hospital with a Level II [on-site surgery] program.) Maintains authenticity and security of the record, and follows prescribed process for amending documents. * Performs effectively in all three procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a therapeutic cardiac laboratory team based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals Scope of Practice. Proficiently performs all cardiac and vascular procedures allowed in an AHCA Level I Adult Cardiovascular Services licensed facility. Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds (in hospital) within 30 minutes. * Learns and upgrades skills. Supervises other healthcare team members in the clinical setting. Utilizes knowledge base to assist with orientation, training, and education of new personnel. Provides training for CV Invasive Lab Technologist Level I and II staff and Level III staff who have proof of 500 hours at an AHCA designated Level II percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) facility. * May perform waived and/or non-waived Point of Care Testing. If performing non-waived Point of Care Testing, as defined in AHCA rule 59A-7.034, must have approved competency and documented proof (copy of either diploma or transcript, at the highest level of academic achievement) at the time of AdventHealth non-waived Point of Care training. * Participates in quality and performance improvement activities with the goal to improve patient outcomes. Accurately documents and monitors activities as needed. Participates in unit/service line budgeting processes to ensure a cost-effective, quality-focused environment. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department * Performs effectively in other roles required by campus (interventional radiology procedures, stress lab, procedural support and recovery unit, cardiac rehab, etc.).
