Intranet Administrator

The Intranet Administrator uses the intranet platform as a University resource center where academic and business functions can access information and tools in a secure computing environment. The Intranet Administrator manages all aspects of the USC Upstate intranet site environment, including the intranet site's technical design, template creation, support, and software updates. Intranet Administrator guides teams across the University in creating and maintaining content for their intranet page and also serves as technical support for relevant needs. Intranet Administrator maintains knowledge of current standards and emerging trends in the intranet environment and seeks for ways to integrate effective technology to improve the quality of the information exchange on the Intranet.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1-year experience in managing communications, timelines, and tasks for multiple groups, and web content management. Successful background check is required.
Typically work week is Mon-Fri, 8:30am
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in SharePoint management. 2-year experience in web content management.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of data organization and analysis. Excellent oral and written communication skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is essential. Adept project management skills to ensure timely execution of tasks. Ability to contribute to the overall efficiency and functionality of the digital workspace. Maintain the business-critical intranet site for the University by managing content, permissions, document libraries, and site templates as part of the comprehensive management of the SharePoint Intranet. Conduct end user training to equip the university with the skills needed to maximize the full potential of SharePoint Intranet.

Collaborate with various functional teams throughout the university to create a cohesive and integrated digital environment in which all employees can access information as efficiently as possible. Maintain Intranet to ensure it is ADA accessible. Manage Intranet's content to optimize work-flow presentation and efficiency.

Use intranet's telemetry to measure and update the intranet's configuration to improve efficiency, accuracy, and functionality. Manage the intranet's vendor by assigning and overseeing tasks for ongoing site enhancements for performance and functionality. Manage intranet projects to enhance and expand the intranet environment and usefulness.
