Job Summary
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist II performs the duties of a Radiologic Technologist on a wide variety of technical procedures in the interventional radiology suite and general diagnostic imaging. Provides high-quality diagnostic special procedures and interventional studies while providing safe and high-quality care to the pediatric population. Consistently complies with CHOC practices, policies (e.g., attendance, patient safety), and procedures. The IR Technologist abides by the ethical standards set by CHOC. Adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements participates in quality control and process improvement activities and maintains clinical competency and mandatory requirements.
Pay Range
Minimum $42.69 Midpoint $56.57 Maximum $70.43
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
Required: Minimum one (1) year of outpatient and/or acute care technologist experience with six (6) months in a pediatric setting.
Preferred: One (1) year of acute care technologist experience in a pediatric inpatient hospital.
Education
Required: Graduate from an approved education program in Radiography/Radiologic Technology.
Preferred: Graduate from an AMA-approved program in Vascular Interventional (VI) Technology.
Training
Required: None.
Preferred: None.

Licensure
CA (CRT), Certified Radiologic Technologist
CA Fluoroscopy, BLS Certificate, Current ACLS and PALS certificate - required within nine (9) months of hire or transfer; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Post Primary Certification (ARRT-VI) - required within twenty-four (24) months of hire or transfer.
