Interventional Radiology Tech - Cardiac Cath Invasive, FT Rotating (4341-029)

Performs a wide range of interventional radiology and cardiac procedures with X-rays and angiograms and assists the interventional radiologist and interventional cardiologist, by inserting small catheters through needles for the purpose of diagnosing disease of the heart and body. Knowledgeable regarding the Joint Commission (JC) and Radiology standards. Assists in the development and monitoring of department-specific systems and in the coordination of activities that improve the quality of patient care in the OR, Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Catheterization. Works in collaboration with Radiology Operations Manager & Radiology Medical Director for the purpose of performance improvement data collection and presentation. Supports Diagnostic Radiology unit daily workflows.

Required Experience

Work Experience

• Minimum of two years staff radiology technologist

License/Registration/Certification

• Texas Certified Medical Radiological Technologist (MRT).

• ARRT Radiography.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Card.

Education and Training

• Associates Degree in Radiological Technology.

• Highly experienced and trained in specialty area of Diagnostic Radiology, ie; Protective Device/Equipment, Radiation Monitor Quality Assurance

• Highly trained in Percutaneous Invasive Interventions.
