Penn State Health Medical Group-Cardiology is currently recruiting a full-time interventional cardiologist to join our established community group in Berks County, PA. The interventional cardiologist will work in collaboration with a team of four interventional cardiologists, nine non-invasive cardiologists and two advanced practice providers to offer care to patients across the continuum. Appropriate candidates will have completed a residency in Internal Medicine and additional sub-specialty fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.

Our facility is a full-service outpatient cardiovascular center that provides:

Cardiovascular Consultation

Diagnostic Testing

Disease Management Programs

Administrative and Billing

National accreditation as a Nuclear Cardiology Laboratory, a Vascular Laboratory, and an Echocardiography Laboratory


Medical degree

  • M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent

Completion of accredited fellowship program

Eligible for licensure for the practice of medicine in the State of Pennsylvania

Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine and Interventional Cardiology

Our multidisciplinary team collaborate with families, school districts and community partners to empower children in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives.</p> <p><strong>New Story </strong>is searching for a Crisis Intervention Specialist who is a member of our multidisciplinary team, responsible for the implementation of therapeutic skills acquisition and behavior reduction protocol. This position is responsible for providing behavior intervention and implementation of protocols in the school setting.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Implement Therapeutic behavior intervention per behavior/safety plan.</li> <li>Schedule, provide and monitor services stated in the student’s IEP.</li> <li>Utilize non-violent crisis intervention techniques and physically assist as needed</li> <li>Facilitate groups with students to assist in the development of coping skills.</li> <li>Demonstrate appropriate behavior management strategies and techniques, including knowledge of student privileges and responsibilities.</li> <li>Provide input and feedback related to the effectiveness and observation of behavioral protocols to members of the multidisciplinary team.</li> <li>Work with the disciplinary team to offer insight in the development of IEP goals and objectives for student receiving crisis services</li> <li>Communicate with parents/guardians to inform them of student crisis as needed.</li> <li>Report intervention difficulties to supervisor and teacher.</li> <li>Document behavioral data on progress notes.</li> <li>Attend team meetings, IEP meetings, and other meetings as assigned.</li> <li>Complete documentation associated with crisis situations, incident report forms, and student logs and submit in a timely manner per school guidelines.</li> <li>Assist with maintaining clean and safe classroom environments.</li> <li>Complete miscellaneous paperwork as directed.</li> <li>Perform related duties within Summer Therapeutic activities program and/or extended School year program as needed.</li> <li>Attend and successfully complete all training and supervision sessions as directed by supervisor and indicated by company policy and program regulation.</li> <li>Maintain client confidentiality per company policy, FERPA/HIPAA privacy rule and regulation.</li> <li>Travel to other School locations when needed.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Qualifications and Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li> <li>One-year experience working with children/adolescents with physically aggressive behaviors </li> <li>Ability to perform non-violent crisis intervention techniques, including verbal and physical redirection and guidance of potentially aggressive students. </li> <li>Must be able to physically assist with evacuating clients during emergency situations. </li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Eligible New Story employees will receive:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive pay, benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision)</li> <li>Employee discount program</li> <li>Reward program (Which allows you to earn points to purchase items)</li> <li>401k options and paid school holidays.</li> </ul> <p><strong>New Story </strong>is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
