Job Summary: Intervention and Enrichment

Essential Functions:

This course is designed to enable scholars to acquire and apply the skills and abilities needed to meet grade level core content academic standards. This course provides various experiences that may be enrichment, intervention, or remediation of academic curriculum requirements.

Scholars who have learning needs that may go beyond what is traditionally offered in the regular classroom will be assigned to this course as an elective. The nature of their abilities, demonstrated or latent, requires differentiated and/or scaffolded learning experiences and opportunities for them to maximize their potential. This course requires teachers to develop the depth and quality of their scholars' experiences while adjusting the pace to meet individual needs. This course is meant to be used as an elective course in grades 6-8 and has been designed for the teacher to select and teach the appropriate standards and skills corresponding to a student's individual instructional needs based on data.
