We are seeking Intervention Specialists beginning in the 2024-25 school year. Qualified candidates will have an Intervention Specialist license, Mild/Moderate and/or Moderate/Intensive.

Intervention Specialists employed by WCS will receive the necessary training in understanding Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs), writing compliant IEPs, ideas on how to efficiently and effectively monitor progress, and how to utilize ProgressBook to create IEPs/Progress Monitoring.

In addition to this support, WCS is working towards being a Trauma Informed School that focuses on relationships and resiliency within our employees and students. Currently, staff members are being trained in restorative practices to help build a sense of community, belonging, and interconnectedness. This work also aligns with the district's overall climate goal of Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports.

The Wilmington City School district encourages all staff and students to support a diverse and inclusive environment in which to work, teach, and learn. We are seeking staff members who are culturally responsive and embrace inclusion.
