This position is expected to start around January 2025 and continue through the entire Spring/Winter term (i.e through April 2025) or into Summer 2025 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

Your application for the Vehicle Hardware Engineering - Technical Program Management Internship will be considered across all opportunities for the teams listed below:

  • The DOJO Technical Project team manages the design, integration, test, production, and bring up of the DOJO supercomputer at Tesla from silicon to infrastructure. This team focuses on NPI, supplier ramp and quality, and system bring up in our lab/data centers

  • The Autopilot and Electronics Product Design (AEPD) and the Electronics System Engineering Program Manager teams are responsible for shepherding R&D organization through the new product design, validation, and factory NPI process across all Tesla vehicle platforms. We are the lubricant that keep the engine running smoothly. An example list of products we own include but not limited to display, car computer, radar, camera, ultrasonic sensors. We will provide training and mentorship for our interns, and the expectation is that they can work independently, take responsibility, and can adapt to our fast-paced and dynamic work environment

  • The Low Voltage Distribution Engineering Program Manager teams provide support on all design projects. This team manages project definition and schedules, task completion status, reporting, and coordination with different stakeholders

  • The Low Voltage Test Engineering Program Management team focuses on mechanical, electrical, and software test systems supporting our production lines around the world. They serve as liaison between the Test Engineering team and Product Management, and are responsible for coordination strategy and test station qualification

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field

  • Prior program management experience or managing a team, such as FSAE, Hyperloop, etc

  • Desired to be proficient in Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, and Git

  • Experience in leading teams, and proven ability to drive initiatives to conclusion
