At Chainalysis, Software Engineers in Tools & Infrastructure ( SETI ) interns are embedded within full-stack teams and expected to learn how to build internal tools and infrastructure to improve Quality. They will be working for the Quality Engineering Team that is tasked with identifying and mitigating risks. As a SETI intern you work with other engineers to build tools that will interact with blockchains and create infrastructure using code. You will have the opportunity to work with public clouds.

We are looking to fill this position in New York for fall 2019.

Responsibilities :

  • Set up CI jobs that run smoke tests using environments on docker/kubernetes.

  • Evaluate and implement tools that will talk to blockchains to extract test data sets that will be used in the acceptance testing process.

  • Create helm charts to be used in kubernetes cluster for integration testing

  • Evaluate changes to open source projects used by the team and assess security risks and benefits of upgrades.

  • Setup testnets of blockchains so that we can use them to test our product in various scenarios

  • Collaborate with other members of the Quality Engineering team on company-wide quality initiatives

  • Writing and presentation skills.


  • You know at least Java, scala or python

  • Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.

  • Willingness to learn new tools and languages.
