Summer Internship Position for 24 hrs per week

We are seeking an Experience Design (UX) Design Intern to join our innovative team of designers, design researchers, engineers and scientists.
Invetech is a global design and product realization company focused on healthcare technology, including diagnostics and breakthrough cancer therapy systems that may support people in laboratories, hospitals or homes.
As an Intern you will contribute to interaction design, as well as usability studies for healthcare systems including digital and physical interactions. Our clients are leaders in the biomedical field, including start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. Collaborate with the interaction design team to map workflows, create wireframes and support UX design
Support generative design research with contextual inquiry and ethnographic research and create research related design deliverables (experience maps, low-fidelity prototypes, user profiles, workflows)
In collaboration with the Experience Design and Usability team, plan and design user studies to assess user behavior for medical devices such as diagnostics and cell therapy systems.
Partner with our team in analyzing user research, running workshops and writing reports.
Work cross-functionally with hardware and software engineers, scientists and designers.
Generate new ideas or recommendations to better support users or eliminate risks
Conduct benchmarking studies of competitor products from a human interface standpoint
Currently pursuing a Bachelors, M.S. in UX, Interaction design HCI, cognitive science, human factors or similar user-centered design discipline
Experience with conducting usability tests
Tools: UX design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, Illustrator or similar
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Should be self-directed with effective time management skills
Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team
Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced, highly interactive environment
Desired: Understanding basics or experience in the biological sciences, health care, or medical device/technology
TRAVEL: 5-10% travel for the position
