We are presently seeking an Intern for our DFW location. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources to gain knowledge about the field.
This position with have responsibility for various Human Resources functions. Provides support to the H.R. department in the areas of Kronos administration, employment processes, computer/ADP reports and other functions. Interacts with all levels of management and employees. Assist the Human Resource Manager and HR clerks with projects as assigned.
Responsible for processing all union and non-union administrative new hires, promotions, transfers, employment verification and terminations as required
Responsible for inputting of all hourly wage increases and maintaining all personnel/benefits files
Responsible for OSHA record keeping and maintaining injury files. Liaison between the company and W/C insurance carrier as well as Medical Center
Responsible for coordinating and facilitating various employees activities (i.e. awards, recognition programs)
Responsible for the coordination of the Uniform program & Locker assignments
Shared Responsibility for conducting all union employee orientation
Assist the department as needed in all functions including recruiting
Assist in annual Benefits Enrollment
Translate benefits material and HR communications into Spanish for posting
Participate in all Corporate led training initiatives
Perform other clerical duties as assigned
Student currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources at an accredited college/university. Upper classman preferred.
Overall GPA of 2.75
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have the ability to handle confidential information and work independently by taking full ownership of projects from start to finish
Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Candidates should be U.S. citizens or permanent residents able to work in the United States with no restrictions.
Ability to fulfill internship hours and work as scheduled by the Company
