THIS IS A CORPORATE POSITION
Candidates will need to provide a high level of professionalism and excellent communication skills. Candidates may be asked to provide support related responsibilities outside of the essential duties and responsibilities. The duration of this internship would typically span 12 months and could be extended depending on the performance of the candidate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist Financial Reporting team with quarterly and annual filings to the SEC. Specific tasks may include:
Review select financial data used in the company's public filings and press releases to ensure accuracy
Generate system reports and data for team use
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports used in the financial close process, including completing hardcopy control tieouts
Preparation of monthly journal entry review files
Perform analysis to understand the financial impacts of accounting guidance and operational results
Perform research on accounting issues
Excellent Microsoft Office products primarily Excel.
Strong analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
Close attention to detail.
Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Pursuing degree in Accounting /Finance major required.
Beginning accounting courses required; intermediate accounting courses preferred.
Minimum of 20 hours per work week required; additional hours may be requested based upon need.
Previous accounting experience helpful
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The team member is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, repetitive use (or motion) of arms and hands, bend and stoop, and lift up to 10 pounds.
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
