Koch-Glitsch, LP has an immediate opportunity for an International Traffic Coordinator at our Wichita, KS location working from 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday. In this role, the ideal candidate will be extremely detailed and have the ability to work in a very fast-paced manufacturing environment.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Manage all Import/Export shipments for the US, which includes drafting of commercial documents, customs filings, licenses where applicable, and ensure transportation is optimized in regard to cost (including duties/taxes when applicable) and transportation time

  • Assist as needed in domestic full truck load, LTL and small parcel shipments for the US and ensure transportation is optimized in regard to cost and transportation time

  • Coordinate scheduling of pick-up and delivery of shipments with third parties

  • Complete and file fabrication, shipping, quality assurance, and traffic documentation

  • Communicate with carriers and customers to coordinate shipments and negotiate transportation rates

  • Complete crate audits during truck loading

  • Assist Traffic Specialist with organizing

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years experience in logistics/traffic/shipping/trade compliance or similar role

  • 1+ years of previous customer service experience

  • 1+ years experience utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel in a work environment

  • Ability to work overtime and on-call as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or higher in Business or related area
  • 1+ years of experience with customs/regulatory requirements for international movement of goods
  • 3+ years experience in international logistics / shipping / trade compliance

The role is responsible for coordinating the timely and efficient import and export of all international shipments, while ensuring full customs import and export compliance. A Day In The Life Typically Includes: * Manage all Import, Export, and Foreign to Foreign shipments across the globe, including negotiating rates with carriers and providing tracking updates to internal and external customers. * Prepare and ensure accuracy of export documentation including, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, Export Letters of Instruction, Insurance Certificates, and other documents as required. * Review import documentation to ensure full Import Compliance, per U.S. Customs rules and regulations. * Provide ISF and Import Brokerage entry instructions to freight forwarders and Customs Brokers. * Manage and maintain export and import transactional files and records in accordance with U.S. Government regulations and Company policies. * Support Trade Compliance Manager with transactional post-audit assessment and follow-up corrective action as necessary to ensure all import and export filings are accurate. * Review for accuracy and process freight and brokerage invoices. * Assist with ACH Monthly Duty Payments to CBP. What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED * 1+ years' experience in an International Logistics or Trade Compliance role * 6+ months experience using Microsoft Office products to include: Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook in an office environment * 1+ years' experience with U.S. Customs import and export regulations.
