The International Tax Manager is a key contributor to the Tax Department and will lead the management, oversight, and evolution of ON Semiconductor's U.S. international tax operations and global transfer pricing. This position will also support and/or lead international tax planning and legal entity structuring projects.
Core responsibilities will include:
Manage and execute U.S. international tax compliance process, including subpart F income, GILTI, foreign tax credits, expense allocations, and BEAT.
Train and develop U.S. tax compliance team on U.S. international tax technical areas.
Assist with U.S. international tax aspects of tax accounting, including indefinite reinvestment assertions, valuation allowance analysis, foreign tax credit positions, and subpart F / GILTI calculations.
Oversee preparation of worldwide transfer pricing documentation, including master file, local files, and country by country reporting.
Assist with transfer pricing calculations to support quarterly provision process.
Evaluate and model potential intercompany transaction changes.
Analyze and research tax regulations, court cases and law changes and recommend application to the company.
Partner with treasury, finance, accounting, supply chain, and other business functions to develop strong working relationships between those groups and the tax department.
Manage and support special projects such as tax planning, legal entity restructuring, acquisition integration, and other business development activities.
Contribute to building a world-class tax function.
Detail-oriented individual who takes ownership of projects, meets established timelines, and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.
A thorough knowledge of accounting as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, finance or related field. Master's in Taxation and/or CPA preferred.
5 to 10 years of progressive U.S. international tax experience in Big 4 or industry.
Superior analytical, technical, research, project management and critical-thinking skills with demonstrated proficiency of complex U.S. international tax concepts.
Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills with the ability to effectively work throughout all levels of the organization, including senior management.
Outstanding leadership, training, coaching and mentoring skills.
Computer and technology expertise, including working knowledge of tax compliance software, Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, or similar. Experience with robotic process automation is a plus.
