The senior international benefits consultant provides clients with advice regarding global and local country benefits - statutory, mandatory, and private. Services include: benchmarking, renewal management, mergers & acquisition support, compliance reviews and multinational pooling management. Liaise with local country benefit brokers to provide these services. Act as an extension of the client's staff, fielding day-to-day questions regarding non-US employees. Manage delivery of the determined service plan. Produce and present client-facing documents. Schedule and attend client meetings and conference calls. Manage a multi-tasking desk with numerous ongoing projects in a highly transactional client services environment.
Has both account management and production responsibilities (hybrid role).
Has both renewal/retention and new business goals.
Responsible for the combined functions of the development and successful acquisition on new business revenue from new and existing clients and providing a high level of client service to assigned accounts.
Works successfully in a team-based environment, collaborative and accountable while working predominately independently.
Interfaces/consults with other team members to recommend solutions/provide technical reports on various client issues.
Completes analysis, data collection, market practice comparisons, drafting of presentations, and work directly with vendors on benefits-related projects.
Identifies, researches, and coordinates internal / external resources in order to resolve a wide range of international HR-related issues.
Coordinates the activities of local brokers in obtaining insurance quotations for plans in locations around the world.
Develops recommendations to modify existing local benefit plans, implement new plans, and design benefits packages for start-up operations.
Manages multiple projects with minimal guidance to ensure the quality and timeliness of client deliverables.
Communicates complex matters clearly and concisely to clients and participate in client calls and meetings as necessary.
High School Diploma/GED and 8 years related experience required.
Excellent sales capabilities.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
