Compensation Range
Hourly: $20.50 - $26.70 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)
About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to process Letter of Credit transactions, including but not limited to Standby Letters of Credit (LC), Import or Export LCs, and Documentary Collections in compliance with regulatory requirements and Bank policy
Essential Functions
Examine document language to ensure compliance with letter of credit requirements
Communicate potential issues to corporate customers, correspondent banks (both domestic and foreign), freight forwarders, and Commerce Bank personnel
Relay discrepancies to customers and adhere to bank regulated timelines
Meet department quality, productivity, and timeliness measurements
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Intermediate knowledge of on the regulations and rules that govern all letters of credit, including knowledge of best practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Exceptional customer service skills
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred
Letter of Credit and International Banking experience preferred
Level of role is determined by knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education
