F-16 Contract Instructor Pilot (IP) assigned to the Iraq Advanced Pilot Training (IAPT) program at Balad AB, Iraq. Instructs newly trained Iraqi Air Force (IqAF) F-16 pilots in Tactics, Techniques and Procedures authorized for disclosure by the USAF.
Flying responsibilities will be performed in F-16s belonging to the IqAF at Balad AB, Iraq.
Contract IPs will induct current and qualified IqAF F-16 pilots into the IAPT. Contract IPs will develop curricula and training content, will perform airborne instruction in single and dual seat F-16 aircraft with Iraqi Mission Pilots (MP), will perform airborne training mission support, will operate and instruct simulator missions defined in IAPT syllabi, will perform classroom and table top instruction, will determine mission pilot proficiency and will report on MP progress.
Contract IPs will perform each category of training for IAPT MPs and will also lead Iraqi candidates through Flight Lead Upgrade and Instructor Pilot Upgrade programs.
Contract IPs are responsible for training in all F-16 pilot related subjects such as aircraft systems, operating procedures, handling emergencies, problem analysis, aircraft navigation, radio operation and aerodynamics and special procedures relating to conduct of operational employment. Contract IPs will develop and amend program as required based on customer requirements and will serve as Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company international training experts to provide guidance on establishing training additional international training programs.
Contract IPs will operate F-16 aircraft in accordance with most restrictive applicable regulations, provided by the USAF, IqAF, and program/corporate policies and procedures. Highest emphasis will be placed on flight crewmember's safety and customer service. Flying operations are currently conducted at Balad AB, Iraq.
Contract IPs will be on a long-term international assignment to Iraq. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Must be a current or former USAF F-16 IP with a minimum of 1000 flight hours in 4th and/or 5th generation fighter aircraft.
Must have prior experience in USAF Pilot Academic and Simulator Training.
Must have operational experience with advanced sensor systems such as Night Vision Goggles (NVG) employment, Targeting Pod employment inc. Sniper, Lightening, LANTIRN, etc.
Must be experienced with current instructional techniques and delivery methods.
Must have in-depth experience with USAF publications and an understanding of 4th and/or 5th generation fighter aircraft systems.
Must have experience working in an international environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of diverse natures.
