The Director of E-Commerce, China is responsible for leading the strategic development, consumer and brand experience, and revenue and profit growth of Nutraceutical's e-commerce business in China. This role requires a proven track record in leading and evolving ecommerce businesses by working with local distribution partners to drive business development, employ effective traffic-driving tactics and campaigns, create engaging content and merchandising, and work through partnerships across brands and functions. Brand and business effective merchandising, seasonal campaign strategies and execution are paramount. As a member of the international sales management team, the Director of E-Commerce provides leadership and vision to both drive the business forward and provide an exceptional brand experience to our consumers.
The Director of E-Commerce will leverage back-end support teams that span brand management, creative, marketing, ecommerce, customer service, and inventory monitoring and management.
Set vision and strategy for holistic and seamless brand discovery, shopping and purchase experience.
Manage and drive improvements to ecommerce P&L, including revenue, margin and expense improvement.
Drive strategy and execution of all digital performance marketing channels including search, paid social, remarketing, email and affiliate channels. Create seasonal content and merchandising calendars to ensure freshness, relevancy, consistency and appropriate balance of brand story-telling and commerce.
Lead operational decision making and partner with leadership in customer service, distribution and logistics to drive performance and customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
Continue to grow Omni-channel strategies with DTC and Wholesale partners, and execute plans including ensuring appropriate platform and consumer experience strategies are in place.
Establish detailed KPIs and metrics to track and report on performance of processes and programs and transform data into actionable insights and recommendations.
Bring new ideas and innovative approaches to digital experiences to drive growth and conversion.
In conjunction with the Brand Managers, develops and updates brand level strategic plans for the web site based on the brand priorities, industry trends, concept-to-consumer, and customer insight.
Leads and oversees the customer experience on all digital platforms, and the achievement of ecommerce channel goals. Ensures exceptional customer experience on all digital platforms as measured by user analytics, overall sales KPIs, and usability sessions. KPI
Creates the strategy for new digital initiatives in support of brand growth goals while leveraging the shared services teams within the e-commerce/digital center of excellence /
Leads cross-departmental ecommerce team that plans and implements the day-to-day and seasonal plans required to meet the company goals.
Develops annual ecommerce forecast and budget, including traffic, sales, and orders. Provides weekly reporting and insight into ecommerce performance.
Defines long-term needs, functionality, features, etc., and digital experiences.
Ensures timely update of web content including bi-weekly flips and weekly optimization based on performance trends and usability metrics. Participates in selection of digital marketing vendors, including email, display, ratings & reviews, SEO, SEM, and shopping networks. SEOSEM
Oversees strategy of digital marketing (SEO, SEM, re-targeting, display, and affiliates) including planning, analysis, content production, and reporting. SEOSEM)
Collaborate with digital marketing, lead and manage site operations and site merchandising teams with focus on building a high-performance, versatile and agile team.
Determine site experience improvements through analytics and testing and work with global platform design and development teams to ensure execution.
5-7 years of experience in E-Commerce and/or digital marketing 5-7/
Bachelor's Degree required; business, marketing or related field preferred
Fluent Mandarin Chinese reading, writing & speaking required. Native Chinese speaker preferred.
Needs to able to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
Position based in Shanghai. Occasional travel to Corporate Offices in Utah required.

Team leadership, expertise in giving and receiving feedback, coaching and talent analysis. In this role, you may lead a small team to achieve sales targets.
