We are currently seeking an International Benefits Strategy Manager to add to our International Solutions team, sitting in our Bogota, Colombia Office. This full-time position is responsible for the development of overall strategy for our employee benefits practice, as well as assist with executing aspects of our global benefits initiatives at the tactical level. This role requires a high level of flexibility and attention to detail. The successful candidate is particularly ambitious with proven experience in planning and establishing global benefits plans. This individual will ensure compliance in global and regional implementation, administration, and maintenance of benefits plans and procedures, taking into account relevant laws, policies, and regulations.
This role calls for someone who is truly 'high velocity' where wearing multiple hats is key to success, and is well-suited for the particularly ambitious person who loves navigating challenges and is attracted to or experienced in working at a startup. The right candidate has a relentless zeal to contribute, and should have a passion for all things international. This individual will serve as our benefits subject matter expert and report to the Director of International Solutions at HQ. The successful candidate will work closely with all sides of the organization and participate in related projects as needed.
Lead global benefits projects and planning, including plan establishment, process mapping, audits, plan transfers, plan comparisons, and policy renewals
Lead global benefits compliance reviews
Research new and manages existing relationships with benefits service providers, outsourced vendors, and brokers on a global basis to ensure compliance with processes, requirements, laws, and service expectations
Collaborate with sales, operations, finance, and IT teams to integrate our benefits offerings into each departments process, as well as our overarching technology initiatives
Provide support to the operations and sales team, including joining calls with current clients and prospects, assisting with internal inquiries, and developing processes that minimize the time other departments spend on benefits-related tasks
Develop and maintain an internal database focused on compliance in different markets, frequently asked questions about our existing benefits plans, as well as any and all restrictions we must adhere to when administering benefits globally
Manage statutory compliance as it relates to global benefits and oversight of requirements, including existing and new legislation in the global locales in which we support our clients employees
Accurately maintain the companys systems of record including HRIS, benefits, and external technology solutions
Assist in global benefits administration, providing timely and thorough guidance regarding eligibility, any issues, education, and supporting annual open enrollment efforts
Conduct benefits training for new internal hires, particularly individuals on the operations and sales teams

Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
3 - 5 years of experience in managing global benefits projects; experience with international medical insurance is preferred
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative through individual research and drive
Ability to work across different departments to achieve results beneficial to the larger team
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including strong execution, and timely and thorough follow-through and follow-up of tasks
Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion, sound judgement, and diplomacy
Ability to manage multiple tasks, show adaptability and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy with a strong attention to detail
Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment; collaborating and serving all levels of the organization
Technology literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and benefits-specific software
Knowledge of benefits administration and compliance or other related experience; basic HR and payroll practices knowledge a plus
Driven; a team player who brings his/her whole self to the role
