Internal Sales Consultant

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Inside Sales Consultant are to:

Key Tasks:

  • Educate potential customers virtually on the benefits of using Bayer's CardioPulmonary assets, the drugs' safety and side effects, and the process to getting product to the patient;

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Health Care Professionals and their supporting office staff;

  • The Inside Sales Consultant will be responsible for disseminating which promotional to employ assets based on previous customer engagement(s);

  • This will include monitoring customer engagement, and then determine how to further engage with the customer;

  • The Inside Sales Consultant will provide feedback and guidance to the Marketing team on the effectiveness of the promotional assets used;

  • The Inside Sales Consultant will profile customers to assess their potential value as a prescriber by finding out the number of patients the HCP treats who have certain conditions;

  • The Inside Sales Consultant is fully product trained and does not operate off of a script in any way;

  • They speak with all members of an office (Physicians, Purchasing Managers, Pharmacy Directors and Nurses) and influence the different members of the office to prescribe Bayer products.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor degree required

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, strong rapport-building skills, and have excellent active listening skills;

Competent in using technology to aid in virtual call to customers;

Competency interpreting sales metrics;

Excellent selling, persuasion, and presentation skills;

Demonstrate procedural proficiency and knowledge of clinical data for potentially multiple products.

Preferred Qualifications:
1 year pharmaceutical experience;
1 year telesales experience;

Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical/device industry, and/or general knowledge of FDA's promotional regulations.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for providing the account/market specific analyses used to drive the sales and profit results within their account span of control. The Sales Analyst partners with the National Account Managers to utilize this information both Nationally and at the Account level to drive business results. The Analyst is accountable for the volume shipment and consumption results within the Private Brands Group channel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Conduct ongoing business analyses, including National, Channel, and Account-specific reports, business reviews, new item tracking, account score carding. This includes but is not limited to: building and analyzing retailer & syndicated databases to track account consumption, shipments, market share and profitability results. * Ability to retrieve and analyze Nielsen / IRI / Customer portal data to evaluate sales trends and make recommendations for appropriate actions to be taken to improve 4-P execution and grow the PBG and total Edgewell business. Includes both periodic & ad hoc reporting needs. * Analyze Retail Link (Walmart specific) information to ensure clear Team understanding of opportunities and overall health of the business at this critical customer. * Provide knowledge and analysis on the competitive environment, including: POS trends in the marketplace, new Brands, new item distribution, promotional support, pricing, etc. * Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of PBG promotions. * Work closely with Category Development Team to consistently incorporate and share Category, Consumer, and other relevant insights with PBG Sales Team. * Develop and present comprehensive selling stories designed to maximize Private Brand distribution and sales growth through the effective use of syndicated data, account POS, and consumer research. * Assist NAMs with general Customer support requirements, which includes completing new item forms, etc. Attend Customer meetings, as requested, to support sell-in and drive engagement with Customer decision maker(s). * Work closely with Broker resources, as applicable, to leverage our broker investment and available resources.
