Individuals assuming this role will be responsible for supporting departmental service objectives through reactive and proactive phone efforts designed to create awareness of and educate financial advisors on the various products and services offered on the mutual fund and 529 platforms of Raymond James. Requirement to acquire and maintain the product knowledge needed to appropriately educate advisors and clients on the various products and services available on the mutual fund platform, including strategies such as domestic equity, international and global equity, taxable and municipal fixed income, and allocation strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide reactive strategy and product-related phone support.
Serve as a primary point of contact for financial advisors contacting the mutual fund research & partner relations departments.
Provide balanced education on a variety of mutual fund strategies and 529 products in a manner consistent with the conservative nature of the firm.
Provide general education, product specific education, and support on client cases.
Meet specific objectives related to proactively contacting financial advisors to discuss the products and strategies identified by the mutual fund research team. Proactive efforts may include following up with advisors about funds and strategies the team has concerns with and/or believes financial advisors should be aware of.
Assist financial advisors with the process of deciding which strategies and products are appropriate for a particular client.
Maintain market and product knowledge of mutual fund strategies and 529 plans available at Raymond James.
Regularly use Advisor Relationship Management (ARM) infrastructure or other internal methods for documenting advisor conversations.
Contribute to department wide initiatives that require team input.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Principles of banking and finance and securities industry operations.
Existing (or an ability to quickly acquire) the knowledge required to appropriately educate on a variety of investment strategies, including but not limited to equities, fixed income, and asset allocation strategies.
Identifying the needs of customers through effective questioning and listening techniques.
Organizing, managing and tracking multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Preparing and delivering clear and professional educational presentations.
