Job Summary

We are seeking General Education teachers, Education Specialists, ELD Specialists, and Guidance Counselors to participate in our Guiding Coalition. The fundamental purpose of our school is to continuously increase learning for all students.

A Guiding Coalition is a school leadership team designed to be an integral component of leading, inspiring, and supporting the change process to becoming a professional learning community. To accomplish this goal, both teachers and administrators must put forth a collective effort to achieve the following. --Guide and support the faculty and staff to embrace that all students need to learn at high levels (grade level or higher). --Learn and then share with faculty and staff research-based best practice that aligns with continuously increasing learning for all students. --Continuously foster a school culture in which the faculty and staff passionately strive to increase learning for all students by continuously evaluating progress data to make necessary adjustments to our instructional strategies and action plans. This diverse team will commit to the three principles of a Guiding Coalition: --Model what collaboration looks like through working together as a team to listen to feedback, brainstorm solutions, and implement processes aligned with our instructional vision at CAVA.

Be a voice to connect teachers and leaders as we work together for our students. --Organize protocols and strategies to engage in improving the academic performance for all students at CAVA. Create a process for teachers to share concerns or ask questions related to instructional practice. --Monitor the implementation and feedback to ensure teams remain committed to the vision and the agreed upon protocols and strategies. Identify the next steps in our PLC journey to ensure we live our vision of every student growing and connecting at CAVA.
