Our latest Locum Tenens assignment in San Diego This is an exciting innovative Men's Health clinic for E.D. and is looking for a physician for part time hours. Client will train physician and all procedures are non-invasive. NO experience needed.

You will receive

· hourly compensation

· malpractice coverage at 1mil/3mil


August 2019 start time


Tuesdays from 9a-5p (can be flexible on days)

Patient volume

· 3-4 patients per hour

· 100% Adult-All Male patients 50's and older

· Scheduled and Walk-Ins

· No calls and all non invasive procedure

· Complete support staff for patient processing and training, no experience require

  • Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill, and acute patients.
  • Order, perform, and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic tests concerning the needs of the patient, and follow up on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being adequately met.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.
  • Implement measures to assist patients in regaining and sustaining physiologic endurance to include serving in the first assisting role.
  • Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.
  • Facilitate the staff and the patient as well as the family decision-making process by providing educational tools for self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.

Position Summary: Promote the company initiative that 'Animals Come First' through the immediate and effective resolution of animal issues as they arise. Develop and implement long-term measures to improve animal care and management through effective education of partners and customers. The purpose of this position is to improve the quality of animals arriving at stores, enhance and maintain animal health conditions while at the stores, and improve customer satisfaction with animals and supplies post sale. Essential Job Functions: The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation. * Compile and analyze data, make recommendations based on analyses and develop programs and processes to implement the appropriate course of action including development, communication and implementation. * Assist in the ongoing improvement of Petco's Standards of Excellence in animal care and welfare. * Serve as expert in the field of animal care and welfare to resolve issues as they arise and anticipate needs and opportunities for improvement in the care of animals. * Manage relationships and care protocols with Vet supporting our stores Duties and Responsibilities: * Partner with CMO to develop and implement vendor certification program including feasibility assessment, site visits, training of auditors, and working with vendors to direct corrective actions. * Provide direction to Performance and Learning with the development and implementation of partner Training initiatives and materials as they pertain to animal health and care issues, including evaluating the results of training programs and recommending future enhancements. * Assist operations through store visits and infrastructure assessment by providing regular review and evaluation of care sheets, training materials, Policies & Procedures and Planograms pertaining to animal care and presentation. * Act as advisor to management regarding ways to identify and comply with laws. Assist in the development and maintenance of animal care sheets and act as liaison between stores and Animal Control or Public Health officials. * Provide information and direction in matters pertaining to animals to RACEL's, stores and field leadership, to corporate departments (merchandising, ops, risk management, communications), to veterinarians working with Petco Animals, to the Petco Foundation and to customers with specific needs or concerns. * Identify recurring animal issues and develop and implement long-term solutions through the use of animal incident reports, visitation reports, and working with vendors and corporate departments. * Review and complete all animal health reports, and routing reports to the appropriate field team members. File and track all such reports, providing feedback to the CMO team, Pet Services and/or other field leaders as appropriate. * Serve as the key contact for the Customer Satisfaction and Social Media teams to address animal related customer concerns and inquiries. * Collaborate with Marketing and other departments to produce animal care related external communications, which includes writing, editing and reviewing articles, blogs and other content. * Review product packaging for Private Brand and make recommendations to ensure all information and instructions are accurate and Petco's brand is protected. * Act as the Petco animal expert and serve as ambassador in matters pertaining to media inquiries and concerns, humane association and animal control agency queries and concerns, issues of customer satisfaction and legal action. * Act as a resource and be involved in industry research * Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company interests. * Perform other duties as assigned or required. Nature of Supervision: Minimal supervision is required. Minimal guidance is given to determine priorities and set annual goals. Incumbent is expected and has the authority to determine work methods and analytical tools and processes. Supervisory Responsibility: Influences Petco in the advocacy for, development, communication and implementation of, animal care and public health policies and procedures. Work Environment: This position works in an office environment with occasional travel to stores. Contacts: Primary interaction will occur with management associates, and professional associates in various internal departments such as CMO, Legal, Marketing, Communications, Operations, Training, and Visual Presentation/Store Planning. External contacts could potentially include veterinary professionals, media, animal control agencies and/or humane associations. Education/Experience: A qualified candidate must be a licensed doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) with accreditation in the United States. A Master of Public Health or experience with public health and zoonotic diseases is desired. A minimum of 3 years experience practicing veterinary medicine is required including experience and/or advanced training in the care and treatment of small non-traditional mammals, reptiles, avian and aquatic life. Two or more years' experience or training in business management or economics is preferred. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills are required, especially when representing the company to the media and/or animal associations or agencies.
