  • OBJECTIVE (POSITION SUMMARY)

The primary role of the Internal IT Auditor is to execute a comprehensive enterprise-wide internal auditing strategy, function, and practice adhering to auditing standards and regulatory requirements under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Uses auditing governance frameworks and procedures to plan and manage the auditing schedules, projects, teams, and tasks required to meet defined objectives. Engages with other functions across the enterprise, like risk, finance, information technology, and security, to facilitate audits. Prepares audit reports and recommends enhanced controls or processes as needed. The incumbent exercises consistent and independent judgement and decision making while leading and motivating the employees maintain or create effective controls.

  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

In this position, the Internal IT Auditor is responsible for:

  • Drive successful execution of all aspects of the Company's Sarbanes-Oxley program with minimal supervision.

  • Ensure adherence to SOX requirements, including Section 404, by designing, implementing, and evaluating effective internal control processes.

  • Plan and execute SOX compliance testing, including walkthroughs, testing of controls, and documentation. Monitor control performance and address deficiencies as needed.

  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems.

  • Identify and assess financial and operational risks and areas for improvement.

  • Analyze emerging risks and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure that the organization is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

  • Stay current with changes in laws and regulations that affect the organization and adjust audit procedures accordingly.

  • Present audit findings to senior management and the Audit Committee.

  • Track and verify the implementation of audit recommendations.

  • Build and manage a team of internal auditors, assigning tasks and providing guidance.

  • Foster a culture of excellence, ethics, and professionalism within the internal audit department.

  • Collaborate with other departments to drive process improvements and compliance.

  • Build relationships with business units to understand their specific needs and concerns.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on risk and control matters.

  • QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or a related field.

  • A Master's degree or relevant certification, such as CIA, CPA, or CISA, is often preferred).

  • 2+ years of experience in public accounting or internal audit, with a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Working knowledge of SAP or Blackline is preferred.

  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, strong ethics, and business conduct.

  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, principles, and practices.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Proficiency in using audit software and tools.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Leadership and team management abilities.

  • Thorough understanding of SOX, risk management and compliance.

  • Ethical and professional conduct with a high degree of integrity.

  • Work Schedule

  • Full time schedule of minimum 8 hours per day with flexibility to complete all required job duties and responsibilities.

  • Work Environment:

  • Usually moderate noise level.

  • Climate controlled office environment.

  • Physical Demands:

  • Regular physical demands: Walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; use fingers for keyboarding; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak clearly and effectively to both internal and external contacts.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, spreadsheets, emails and instructions.

Salary Range: $70,000- $80,000 Annual Salary

  • Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to an individual's education, work experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.

Other compensation includes, but is not limited to, bonuses, commissions, or stock options.
