Internal Data Audit Analyst

Gordon Food Service is hiring an Internal Data Audit Analyst position. This candidate will be reporting to the Manager of Internal Audit, the Data Analyst

• Internal Audit will be a key contributor to develop and execute the data analytics and Artificial Intelligence strategy used within the audit methodology. Responsible for supporting the utilization of data analytics, automation, and AI within integrated internal audit engagements, including compliance, operational, financial and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits.

Responsibilities:

• Champions the department's Future of Internal Audit initiative by leveraging a passion for Artificial Intelligence to improve departmental processes and elevate the team's knowledge base.

• Plans and performs data analytics and auditing procedures for operational, financial, technology and compliance projects.

• Supports Internal Audit by conducting data analysis or statistical techniques to optimize audit coverage to key focus areas, ensure targeted coverage is comprehensive, and assist in obtaining increased audit coverage of sampled populations.

• Communicates results using data analytics and data visualization to tell the story in a simple, user-friendly, and intuitive way, as well as delivering results in written and verbal form.

• Assists in the development of IA's audit methodology

• Performs other internal auditor duties as assigned

• Assist with training of the team to achieve higher levels of proficiency with emerging tools and techniques, audit efficiency, and internal process improvement

Ideal candidate will have:

• Quantitative reasoning skills, including the ability to work with numbers and to summarize data into graphical or tabular forms.

• Strong presentation skills. The ability to present, explain and discuss results of analyses to effectively drive fact-based decision making within all levels of the organization

• Generative AI: A passion for exploring, building, and training others on AI solutions (e.g. machine learning, Large Language Models, Chatbots, etc).

Experience:

• Bachelor Degree Required

• Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Statistics, or other related fields

• One to three years previous data analysis experience. Experience with SAP and SAP data analysis related tools including but not limited to SAP HANA, SAP Information Steward, etc. is preferred.
