At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Internal Control Analyst to join the Legrand North America Team in West Hartford, CT. Manage the consistent administration of financial control policies and internal control procedures at each of the Legrand, North and Central America entities.

What Will You Do?

Conduct performance, financial and compliance audits while providing technical accounting assistance to organizational management and staff. Particular emphasis will be placed on Sarbanes Oxley compliance, including all the required documentation and testing activities. Strong project management skills will be needed to assist the business units on various control remediation efforts in the field and HQ functions. Performs other similar and related duties as required. Travel is 35% Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Education: BS in Accounting or a Bachelors' Degree in Business with 5 years' auditing and accounting experience.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of accounting/auditing experience required.

Preferred Skills

  • MBA a plus

  • CPA certification is preferred.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must have exceptional project management skills with strong auditing background and extensive knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and Cost Accounting concepts.

  • Experience utilizing standardized SOX compliance software and audit programs a plus.

  • Must demonstrate good judgment, well developed business ethics, integrity and consultancy skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate persuasiv

  • Requires travel approximately 35% of time.

Other important information There may be opportunities to partner with the parent company's Internal Audit department on audits within the US as well as possible International assignments.

The Company's key products and services include specializing in the design, development, certification, manufacture and repair of fuel pumps, fuel metering units, fuel controls and electronic engine control systems for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft servicing military, commercial, regional and business jet market segments.We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to manage our Control Systems Engineering team. As the Manager, Control Systems Engineering you will provide leadership to five engineers and work in a team environment closely coordinated with the Customer, the Program Management team as well as with other Engineering disciplines to develop control systems for Triumph products. Responsibilities The Control Systems Engineering group is responsible for architecting and defining higher level requirements for control systems, allocating systems requirements to sub-systems/components, leading all Systems Engineering activities on a development program, and (when needed) leading all Engineering activities on a program. The Manager, Control Systems Engineering organizes and directs the activities of the Control Systems Engineering group, develops the employees within the group, ensures resources are available and assigned to complete the work, leads continuous improvement efforts to reduce development cycle time, and monitors and controls System Engineering activities on development programs. Other duties include interfacing with customers, managing customer deliverables for on-time delivery, managing internal costs while maintaining scheduled commitments, preparing proposals for new business opportunities and at times leading all Systems Engineering activities on a development program. Qualifications * A minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or applicable field. * Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering required; a Master's degree is a plus. * Experience with programs involving mechanical, electrical and software. * Prior experience leading a team of engineers. * Must have demonstrated ability to hit milestones and resolve roadblocks in a win-win manner. * Ability to act with confidence and decisiveness. * Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. * Previous experience working in a lean organization, with a commitment to fostering continuous improvements. * System design skills including development of system architectures, trade studies, and requirements/specification development. * Knowledge of system sizing/analysis tools (Matlab Simulink) and requirements capture tools (DOORS); UML/SysML. * Knowledge of RTCA DO-178, DO-254, DO-160, and ARP4754 specifications. * Basic understanding of reliability, FMEA, FTA, and/or CMA. * Experience with model-based development techniques * Experience with use and design of dSPACE and LabView based electronic automated test equipment (or other similar closed loop test systems). * Experience creating, monitoring, and controlling project schedules and estimating resource needs. * Strong communication skills (written and verbal). * Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10-15%.
