Position Summary

The Internal Communications Specialist will work closely with the Social Impact Manager and other key stakeholders across the company to create diverse internal and external communications to fulfill the needs of the organization. This role is responsible for supporting the development of effective communication strategies that will promote organizational initiatives, strategies, policies, and programs and enhance employee engagement.

The firm has one available position in either Atlanta, GA; Southfield, MI; or Cleveland, OH. Some positions at Novogradac may be open to remote or hybrid work arrangements depending on business needs. Please discuss available options with your recruiter.

Your Contributions and Position

  • Collaborate with Social Impact Manager on a comprehensive internal communication strategy

  • Develop internal communication from the company, operational departments, and partner committees to employees

  • Adapt internal initiatives for the external website to enhance visibility

  • Develop a program to manage internal key social media influencers to promote the firm on external social media platforms

  • Provide editing and copy editing for internal communications and for external departments

  • Responsible for creating the internal firmwide newsletter (The General Ledger) schedule, appropriate placement of articles, timeliness, and continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with the Social Impact Manager to create and manage content on the Novogradac News Channel for internal communication

  • Draft companywide emails as well as for specific divisions and departments

  • Ensure internal site is up to date with email templates and other communication related items for easy company wide access

  • Assist Social Impact Manager as needed with employee engagement initiatives

Your Background and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree, in Communications, Journalism, or a related field

  • 3-5 years of experience or appropriate balance of education and work experience

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and growth-minded; work well as a part of a team as well as individually

  • Exhibits teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the execution of all duties and responsibilities

  • Strong computer skills, including experience in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with SharePoint is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner

  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality work within established deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to an enjoyable team environment that promotes diversity and inclusion

  • Extensive experience in writing and editing professional communications

  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis in proofreading

  • Demonstrated organizational skills

  • Compensation $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience. More is possible if experience dictates.
