Square builds common business tools in unconventional ways so more people can start, run, and grow their businesses. When Square started, it was difficult and expensive (or just plain impossible) for some businesses to take credit cards. Square made credit card payments possible for all by turning a mobile phone into a credit card reader. Since then Square has been building an entire business toolkit of both hardware and software products including Square Capital, Square Terminal, Square Payroll, and more. We're working to find new and better ways to help businesses succeed on their own terms-and we're looking for people like you to help shape tomorrow at Square.

As the Internal Communications Manager for the Seller Organization, your ultimate goal is to keep employees connected, engaged, and informed. This will involve summarizing large amounts of complex and different information, developing new creative formats and channels for delivering and distributing information, and being the face and voice of information flow across the Seller Org.

You Will:

  • Create and implement a content strategy that informs and engages employees throughout the organization

  • Work with leaders to determine essential messages and the right channels to deliver them

  • Develop an editorial calendar and fill it with compelling content; track down and report out stories within the organization that connect employees to the Seller Org strategy

  • Write, produce, and emcee events, edit videos, and create infographics and other types of editorial content

  • Distribute content and communications using existing channels and developing new ones; establish measurement to understand and build engagement

  • Bring all decisions back to the centralized strategy for internal communications, keeping things clear and organized

  • Stay informed on strategic initiatives and progress across several initiatives

You Have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on communications, journalism, speech writing or related experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to develop narratives and implement them in multiple formats including articles, video, podcasts, presentations, videos, and live events; experience filming and editing video is a plus

  • Outstanding presentation skills with experience presenting to and consulting with an executive audience

  • Experience working within an intranet

  • A resourceful mentality and are committed to getting things done independently Strong team player and creative thinker; ability to influence without authority, build strong senior relationships to gain input and buy-in for design and implementation of changes
