Who You Are
Reporting to the VP of Communication for GTS, you will lead internal communications for our three global product organizations - power tools, hand tools & storage, and accessories. With support from a Communications Specialist, you will develop and deploy high impact global communications that align to the enterprise communications strategies and further the product organization's business objectives. This includes developing interactive presentations and compelling narratives for internal and external audiences, effectively leading large-scale change management projects, and managing of a portfolio of annual meetings including Board of Directors pitches, quarterly town halls and strategic business planning sessions.

What You'll Do
As an Internal Communications Manager you'll be part of our Enterprise Communications team at Stanley Black & Decker , which serves as a global center of excellence for internal and executive communications, branding and reputation, and employee engagement. The team partners with business units and functions to support strategic objectives and ensure strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, members of the media and community partners.
Specifically you will:
Develop and implement strategic communications plans identifying key communication deliverables in support of the GTS business that align to broader SBD communications strategies, including management of a strong cadence of internal communications rhythms.
Serve as communications partner for the product organization leadership team, driving alignment and engagement around financial commitments and long-term strategic objectives.
Write talking points and create compelling content for key initiatives - including creative ideas for design and delivery.
Support internal communications that enhance the image of the company among employees to increase engagement, generate pride and ensure alignment with goals.
Develop effective communications using a variety of mediums and technologies, which may include video, internal/external social media and more.
Leverage internal social platforms (Workplace by Facebook) to enhance GTS collaboration globally.
Collaborate with teams across the business, including partnerships with third parties and other external groups to advance the goals of GTS.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources or related field
5+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing or related field, with demonstrated experience leveraging communication tools to support key strategic initiatives (experience in manufacturing or technology industry preferred)
Clearly demonstrated writing, editing and storytelling skills with ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences
Exceptional PowerPoint capabilities with demonstrated experience in developing visually effective presentations
Strong project management capabilities, including demonstrated leadership for multiple assignments from conception to completion on deadline and within budget
Understanding of and experience with change management within a corporate environment
