What you'll do:

Deloitte Services LP, a subsidiary of the Deloitte US Firms, has an opportunity for a Communications Manager supporting Deloitte Consulting LLP and its industries including Consumer; Energy Resource & Industrials; Financial Services; Government & Public Sector; Life Sciences & Health Care; and Technology, Media & Telecommunications. This individual will provide strategic direction, planning, and communication guidance in support of Deloitte Consulting's growth strategy.

The successful candidate is a team player, creative thinker, and proactive practitioner who has an operational and executional mindset and can work on both strategic and tactical levels to deliver high-value communications results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Client management: Manage day-to-day interactions with Industry executive leadership, while forming strategic relationships that help you manage and align communication plans across our matrixed organization.

  • Strategic guidance: Oversee the strategic planning and execution of internal communications by working alongside the Consulting communications team in support of the business objectives of Consulting's Industries.

  • Engagement and content management: Develop innovative, effective, and targeted messages that engage our audiences.

    Review, edit, and optimize content submitted by other teams for national internal communications channels; continually promote best practices, supporting Consulting's content strategy and brand. Oversee the planning and delivery of regular town hall and all hands meeting webcast

  • Delivery and execution: Provide editorial management for key Industry communications vehicles. Write, edit, schedule, design, and publish internal communications (leadership communications, articles, newsletter, photo galleries, and digital content).

  • Development: Be an active member of the wider Consulting and US Marketing and Communications teams, including applying best practices from other areas, both inside and outside of the organization, and contribution to a culture of continuous innovation and learning.

Qualifications include:

  • Communications professional with 10+ years relevant experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related business field required.

  • Knowledge of communications fundamentals with experience leading and managing projects in a global, highly matrixed organization.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and copy editing skills and previous writing/editing experience in corporate communications, PR, or journalism fields required

  • Experience working with and writing for senior executives in corporate communications.

  • Strong project management skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, work well under pressure, and consistently execute high-quality deliverables and programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, develop relationships, and interact with all levels of management.

  • Knowledge of social media, intranet engagement, and strategic best practices for communications, reader engagement, and user experience.

  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Word. Experience delivering email communications using Outlook distribution lists.

  • Superior Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with integrating various technologies to support communications efforts (including experience delivering email communications via Outlook distribution lists).

For the Content Manager this means you have the desire to move and motivate, and to engage and activate crewmembers across JetBlue through compelling content. In this fast-paced role, you'll be creating an editorial strategy and writing for a wide range of audiences via multiple mediums. We're looking for someone that is both passionate about creating engaging and compelling stories and motivating others to do so, no matter the channel or audience. The stories you tell will enhance the JetBlue crewmember culture and help support our goal of having the most informed and engaged crewmembers in the industry. You're the eyes and ears of news around the company and must be passionate about making sure those stories are told in a concise and connected way. The Content Manager will report to the Director, Corporate Communications. The manager will support internal communications by leading the content strategy across multiple internal communications platforms including Daily News (company-wide e-newsletter), HelloJetBlue (intranet and mobile app), and BluePrint (print magazine for Crewmembers and their families). Plus, you'll have many more creative writing opportunities across an assortment of communication mediums including video. The manager must be a sharp writer and have a strong understanding of how to drive Crewmember clicks and engagement on JetBlue's Corporate Communications channels. Ultimately, the manager's editorial and content strategy should lead to an increase in the number of clicks and view on internal channels and a deeper knowledge of the stories we share with Crewmembers.
