Position Description

X Energy is seeking experienced professionals to interview for the Internal Communications Lead position. This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and distributing internal communications to align executives, employees, and internal stakeholders to X-energy's mission, objectives, and values. They will facilitate organizational cohesion to create a unified and informed audience. Daily activities will focus on developing clear, concise communications which build awareness, interface between management and the organization, and drive desired actions from the audience.

Responsibilities

  • Intranet homepage:

  • Proactively update content and write copy on the Intranet homepage which will keep employees informed of the current happenings within the organization and outside the organization.

  • Monitor and analyze click data on the page to drive actions from employees.

  • Work with IT to ensure technical compatibilities.

  • Communication strategy support:

  • Support communication plans which promote organization-wide initiatives, collaborate with executive suite and relevant stakeholders.

  • Send company-wide communications from the Xe Updates collaborative inbox and monitor all received communications. Draft responses to messages that come into this mailbox when applicable.

  • Create and distribute internal signage, perform maintenance for digital signs, collaborate with facilities to develop more permanent content in the office.

  • Responsible for maintaining the company's online merchandise store.

  • Monitor current level of merchandise inventory to proactively identify timing to order merchandise.

  • Seek approval from department leadership before ordering merchandise.

  • Manage the collaborative email inbox to execute on merchandise request inquiries from employees.

  • Internal employee newsletter:

  • Compile ideas for articles and seek out interesting/informative activities occurring inside and outside the organization that have relevance to our employees.

  • Create content in line with approved style guide that is free of errors.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization who contribute content to copy edit and update content to align with approved style guide.

  • Work with copy editing team to move newsletter through review and approval process prior to distribution.

  • Gather feedback and readership data regularly and analyze to recommend/implement actions to drive continued enhancement to content and format of the newsletter.

  • Develop metrics to inform strategy and measure success of program components.

  • Responsible for All Hands meetings- gather content, write bios, develop presentations to communicate business updates, relevant business results, investor relations, earnings results, working with CEO to coordinate routine business updates, answer questions.

  • Support ad hoc Town Halls and guest speakers as needed.

  • Proactively keep a pulse on all relevant organizational changes, updates, questions, and concerns.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Minimum Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any field is required, but a field focused on Communications is highly preferred (English, Communications, Marketing).

  • Experience supporting executive communications.

  • Experience communicating within a large organization.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, at least tangentially related to the field.

  • Experience with events, event communication and/or coordination.

  • Email marketing application experience.

  • Some experience with SharePoint or other information management systems is preferred.

  • Some experience developing, benchmarking, and reporting on metrics is beneficial.

  • Technology skills including experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Work Site Expectations: Hybrid/ Onsite (at least 2 days per week in the company office)

Travel Expectations: 10%

Status: Full-time, Exempt

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri
