The Challenge

The Internal Communications Lead will report into the Head of People Operations, and partner directly with our global leadership team. You will be responsible for developing and executing a cross-company internal communications strategy. You will involve multiple channels and forums that nurture a deep understanding of our business goals, while driving and supporting our culture.

Expectations for Success

You have developed a holistic communications strategy that authoritatively delivers meaningful content and messaging to Qualtrics' global employees. You have successfully built a communication framework that ensures consistent messaging through a variety of mediums and channels demonstrating all-hands meetings, our intranet, email, collateral, video, talking points, articles, blogs, social media, etc.

A Day in the Life

  • Assess the current communication channels and find opportunities for greater global alignment

  • Dedicatedly lead and execute internal communications projects and campaigns that align with our business objectives and core values

  • Work closely with senior leadership and department heads to influence a positive culture and engaged workforce

  • Collaborate with communications, PR, and marketing colleagues to ensure employees receive appropriate, timely, culturally-sensitive, and creative communications about upcoming announcements, events, and launches

  • Find innovative ways to measure employee sentiment and utilize data to drive creative internal communications campaign

About you

You are a premier communicator with an innate ability to read the room and tailor your creative communication strategy according to the audience. You have a validated background of being a thoughtful, and trusted advisor to employees and leaders at all levels. You have crafted out-of-the-box communication strategies to excite, engage and inform employees. At past employers, you were an ambassador of culture and a creative content delivery generator. You have an extensive background in all forms of communications, and an extraordinary formal education to accompany your vast experience.

The Role: The Communication Specialist will create and implement new communication strategy initiatives and support the needs of multiple business partners. The specialist is the architect of long- and short-term communications strategies and oversees their successful execution. The specialist generates big ideas, and brings them to life by collaborating with numerous internal partners. The specialist develops integrated communication plans that support the overall goals of the business. We're looking for a communication professional who is passionate about the smart home industry, our employees and strategic communication to join the team. This position reports to the Communications Manager. What you will be working on: * Develops and implements strategic communication plans working effectively with clients to assess the situation/need, compile and analyze research, outline an effective approach/strategy, develop key messages and FAQs, as well as use appropriate communication tactics and vehicles to achieve plan goals. * Participates in continuous improvement process to more quickly and effectively deliver accurate and timeline information to key stakeholders/employees, with a focus on the integration of new technology and communication channels. * Assists with planning and execution of all internal events including Leadership Meetings, Town Halls and other events. * Plans and creates content for all internal communication vehicles, including but not limited to intranet site, video and podcast. * Maintain awareness of company, industry and overall business issues, goals, trends and challenges. * Proactively builds and maintains working relationships within the company. * Participate in brainstorming and planning meetings with teammates and key business partners. What we're looking for: * At least two years of demonstrated experience in the communications field, preferably in Public Relations, Media Relations or Internal Communication. * Degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design or a closely related major. * Working knowledge of video technology and tools (camera equipment, non-linear editing software, web and mobile applications). * Strong planning and project management skills. * Knowledge of Associated Press Style guidelines. * Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premier. * Comfortable on a variety of social platforms, including Instagram and Facebook. * Proficient in web-based platforms such as WordPress with basic knowledge of html. * Proven self-starter and positive go-getter, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. * Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment, and with all levels of management. * Excellent verbal communication skills. * Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. * Proven ability to handle confidential information. * Comfortable with rapid change and short deadlines.
