Internal Communications Associate

Your role will be to ensure key messages are reaching all parts of the organization - informing and impacting the engagement of our people. You will coordinate and deliver internal communications activities across key channels, identifying story opportunities and promoting strategic change initiatives. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you will partner with various teams, from HR to Social Purpose divisions, to consult and implement communication plans. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering a culture of transparent, informative, and inclusive communications, enabling colleagues to understand the brand direction and their contribution to the organization's success.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver corporate news and strategic updates aligned with the organization's strategy and social purpose.

• Serve as a business partner for key internal departments and stakeholders.

• Identify news and story opportunities, gathering content to engage staff across various sites

• Be a key participant in the Employee Engagement team - ensuring concepts and activities are communicated effectively

• Collaborate with colleagues specializing in internal, external, and campaign communications across the organization.

• Maximize engagement by producing clear and impactful written and visual communications.

• Devise and implement communication plans for key internal campaigns, coordinating and monitoring activities across multiple internal channels such as newsletters, intranet, and staff events.

• Provide communications leadership and support for key stakeholders to develop effective communication plans and content.

• Measure the effectiveness of communications activities, producing insights, reports, recommendations, and delivering improvements.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar internal communications role, generating and evaluating effective internal communication messages and campaigns based on audience insights (e.g., staff surveys).

• Proficiency in managing internal digital communication channels such as an employee intranet or newsletter.

• Experience advising senior leaders and stakeholders on consulting and delivering communication plans.

• Excellent writing skills, capable of crafting compelling stories and translating jargon as necessary.

• Ability to write, script, and commission high-quality and visually impactful communication materials in various formats, including editorial and video.

• Strong planning, prioritization, and project management skills, able to handle multiple projects, initiatives, and campaigns to achieve short and long-term objectives.

• Ability to lead and develop internal networks with stakeholders at all levels, fostering collaboration and building productive relationships.

• Flexibility and teamwork skills, able to share the workload and maximize collective delivery.

• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in internal communications.

• Utilize data-driven insights to continuously improve communication strategies and tactics.

• Foster an inclusive communication culture that reflects diversity and promotes engagement.

• Implement innovative communication tools and platforms to enhance employee interaction and information dissemination.

• Encourage a feedback loop with employees to ensure communication efforts are effective and meet their needs.

The role is a full-time position and your base salary will be commensurate with experience but is expected to be highly competitive. The opportunity is located remotely.
