Internal Communication Manager:

The Internal Communication Manager plays a critical role in the assessment, creation, and implementation of company-wide communication and branding efforts. The role sits on the Marketing team and reports to the VP of Marketing. The Internal Communication Manager will help build strategic programs that keep its global employees connected and aligned to a shared understanding of the Lighthouse mission, vision and values.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and manage various communication tools, including, digital, printed, and online communications, employee meetings and events, internal announcements, videos, etc., that build buzz and raise awareness about initiatives and team projects.

  • Champion the experience of employees within the Lighthouse brand. Act as an internal communications journalist and strategist, writing employee-focused communications including emails, presentations, and internal posts. Collaborate with various teams to understand and address the ever-changing communication needs of our internal audiences.

  • Manage internal communication program. Monitor and manage relevant topics and trends (both in the market and within the company) that could impact our employees, our culture, or our company's mission).

  • Nurture internal communication channels. Use existing internal channels such as, employee newsletters, email, events, 7geese to communicate with employees in ways that advance the company's mission, culture, and brand. Develop best practices and procedures to guide consistent and quality communications across all teams, divisions and regions.

  • Measure effectiveness and innovate. Solicit and manage employee feedback to help gauge perceptions towards our company and our culture. Analyze the effectiveness of internal communication programs and develop recommendations to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of employee communications. Provide general guidance to teams on the most effective ways to reach and influence employees.

What You Will Need:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in communications

  • Understanding of and passion for culture and organizational effectiveness

  • Ability to simplify complex topics in a friendly and approachable manner for internal audiences

  • Proficient writer that can help shape the internal communications narrative and effectively communicate via presentations, scripts or emails without significant editing

  • Events management experience is a must - you will spend at least 30% of your time producing high quality, memorable employee events

  • Attention to detail

  • BS/BA degree preferred
