PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Internal Technician's primary goal is to ensure an extraordinary client experience while creating client advocates. The Internal Technician position will also be responsible for diagnosing and repairing dealership vehicles with integrity and ethics, and also maintaining a positive relationship with internal clients in accordance with dealership policies and standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Must be able to drive and operate vehicle
Examines vehicle, diagnoses and, if needed discusses with Internal Team Leader or Internal Service Advisor as to the nature and extent of damage or malfunction
Communicates additional service requests to the Internal Service Advisor for communication to client
Plans work procedure in cooperation with the Team Leader
Provides labor time estimates to the Internal Service Advisor
Monitors repair time and updates Internal Service Advisor on status often for dealership vehicles.
Maintains strict adherence to dealership policy on vehicle care and operation
Completes story, or documentation for service repairs
Knows and understands dealership computer system
Wears approved safety glasses when in designated safety areas
Adheres to dress code in accordance with dealership and/or manufacturer standards
Keeps work area clean and tidy in accordance with dealership standards
Attends company and factory training
Keeps current with factory technical bulletins
Should be willing to obtain State Inspector license if not already completed
Keeps current with manufacturer warranty requirements
Understands and follows Federal, State and local regulations such as disposal of hazardous wastes
Knows and understands the Client Concern Resolution (CCR) process, and utilize the program to achieve client satisfaction
Knows and understands the Park Place Privacy and Information Security Policy, and adhere to its requirements
Attends weekly department meetings
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required
Technical school or training highly preferred
ASE and/or manufacturer certifications preferred
Minimum 1 year dealership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License
