Leads multiple simultaneous financial, compliance, and operational audits to review and assess the efficiency and effectiveness of AmeriHealth Caritas systems, programs, and procedures. Completes special projects and analyses. Providers consulting services to AmeriHealth Caritas departments as needs are identified management. Oversees work of Internal Auditors.

  • Follows appropriate internal audit departmental policies and guidelines in conducting audits and the standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and Institute of Internal Auditors Code of Ethics.

  • Completes the planning work on assigned segments of the audit, including a review of appropriate organizational policies and procedures and external reference material for the area under review.

  • Determines the scope of work necessary to meet audit objectives and determines records or activities to analyze the extent of tests to apply, and the working papers to prepare. Utilizes the various types of audit evidence. Performs analytical reviews of data. Ascertains compliance with laws.

  • Conducts audit testing within timely manner to minimize disruption of daily operations. Reviews transactions, documents, records, and methods for accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness.

  • Accurately performs the audit in accordance with the approved program within the time frame established in a professional manner.

  • Prepares acceptable work papers, which record and summarize data on the assigned audit segments.

  • Communicates effectively with company personnel during an audit.

  • Assists in evaluating and summarizing results of audit, assists in writing audit reports and/or memorandum and completes follow-up work for recommendations made during the audit.

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • CIA, CFE, CPA, or similar certification preferred.

  • 5+ years of audit experience for a public accounting firm or professional services firm, or, relevant internal audit experience.

  • Experience with Model Audit Rule/Sarbanes Oxley, internal controls, and business process analysis is preferred.

  • Understanding of US GAAP and GAAS.

  • PC skills include Word, Excel, database structures.

NOTE: AmeriHealth Caritas utilizes a hybrid work environment with associates working from home two days a week, and in the office three days a week. The functions of this position will be performed onsite at our offices located at 3875 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, 19073.

This will be a key role that will assist initially with effective SOX implementation, and subsequently participate in rollout of a risk assessment, develop a risk based annual audit plan, develop audit programs, amongst other responsibilities as explained below.</p><p>A successful Internal Audit Senior Manager will:</p><ul><li><p>Support and drive effective execution of all aspects of the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) program.</p></li><li><p>Performs a risk assessment of US entities and develops a risk based annual audit plan. Ensures all audit projects are aligned to Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.</p></li><li><p>Prepare and execute audit programs based on the annual audit plan and within budgeted hours. Audit programs will include, but not limited to, SOX, operational and financial audits, amongst others.</p></li><li><p>Review the audit work product of other team members, ensuring high quality deliverables.</p></li><li><p>Report on audit findings; provides value-added recommendations and timely status updates to management on the implementation of these.</p></li><li><p>Provide audit support to special projects as assigned.</p></li><li><p>Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with the Finance and other leadership teams as a trusted advisor in providing advisory support on controls and best practices.</p></li><li><p>Provide coaching and feedback to staff members during the execution of audits and departmental initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Will contribute to the professional / career development plans of audit team members.</p></li><li><p>Will play a key role in the future development &amp; implementation of a data analytics program as part of the audit methodology.</p></li></ul><p>Required Skills &amp; Experience:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.</p></li><li><p>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is required.</p></li><li><p>A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in audit (internal and / or external) required, including Big four public accounting experience.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of and experience with SOX.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical skills, including the ability to solve problems, make value-added control and process recommendations.</p></li><li><p>Strong Project Management Skills.</p></li><li><p>Excellent people skills, including relationship management, communication, planning, presentation, and motivation.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.</p></li><li><p>Domestic and international travel is approximately 25%.</p></li></ul><p>Desired Skills &amp; Experience:</p><ul><li><p>Master's Degree in a related field.</p></li><li><p>ACL or other data analytics tool experience.</p></li><li><p>Bilingual in Spanish.</p></li><li><p>Experience working in the travel industry.</p></li><li><p>Remote candidates welcome to Apply!</p></li></ul><p>About Apple Leisure Group</p><p>As North America's only vertically integrated travel, hospitality and leisure management group, Apple Leisure Group is an industry innovator that combines the expertise of 14 leading brands.
