Internal Auditor - Knoxville

Knoxville, TN12 Month Contract - NO C2CMust be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.This is a Entry level role and can be a new grad if they have right education experience

  • Performs financial, information technology, compliance, and operational audits of primary functions and processes and determines the adequacy of the controls in achieving established control objectives
  • Prepares audit working papers and supporting documentation in accordance with Internal Audit quality standards
  • Collaborates with external auditors on audit approach and issue management
  • Communicates with management personnel to gain an understanding of and evaluate the effectiveness of financial, system, reporting, and process controls in accordance with internal auditing and regulatory standards, such as SOX, COSO, and COBIT
  • Identifies control gaps in business procedures, processes, or systems and initiates appropriate remedial action
  • Communicates with Company staff and management through audit meetings and written reports to discuss processes, controls, audit issues, and issue action plans.
  • Shares accountability for the performance of the team
  • Makes decisions guided by established policies and procedures

Requirements

1. BS/BA in related discipline

2. 0-3 years of public accounting, internal audit, risk and compliance, or other related commercial experience

3. Knowledge of SOX requirements or experience is a plus

4. Understanding of common IT disciplines (i.e. applications, databases, servers, and cloud-based systems) or IT General Controls is a plus

5. Strong PC background, with demonstrated proficiency working with Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Google products (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Calendar, Gmail, and Drive)

6. Ability to apply broad functional/technical and business knowledge to complete assignments

7. Ability to read basic SQL queries is a plus

The hotel front desk night auditor is the main person to interact with guests during the overnight hours, typically 11pm to 7am. A Day in the Life: * You will anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests in a timely manner. * You will maintain positive guest relations at all times. * You will resolve guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction. * You will maintain a complete knowledge of: hotel features/services, hours of operations, room rates, special packages and promotions, daily house count and expected arrivals/departures, and scheduled daily group activities. * You will process all guest check-ins, and verify registration information with the guest. * You will handle overbooked or 'walked' guests. * You will accept and record wake-up call requests. * You will communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel (i.e., special requests, amenity delivery). * You will resolve discrepancies on the room status report with housekeeping. * You will train with and learn Food and Beverage operations to fill in as needed. Requirements * Previous experience working as a front desk agent or in a similar role * A high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate * Experience working at a hotel establishment (highly desired) * Flexible schedule to work 11pm to 7am shifts * Proficiency with computers * Basic math skills * The ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times * The ability to input and access information in the property management system and/or points-of-sale system * Great verbal and written communication skills * The ability to create a fun and supportive working environment Mckibbon Hospitality Knoxville TN
