POSITION SUMMARY:

The Staff Internal Auditor will be a critical team member responsible for audit testing and execution of operational audits to strengthen the internal control environment for our core business processes and project audits to ensure compliance with our company's policies. We are seeking an individual that thrives in a team environment, has excellent communication skills, and proactively builds strong relationships which are essential to the delivery of our objectives. The Staff Internal Auditor directly reports to the Internal Audit Director and will be based out of Henkels & McCoy Headquarters office in Blue Bell, Pa.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides high quality, professional day-to-day substantive, and compliance testing of internal audit engagements in alignment with the company's audit methodology and policies.

  • Prepares high quality internal audit work papers and reports that provide evidence audit procedures performed and support the related audit findings and recommendations.

  • Identifies any financial and operational inefficiencies and improvements that would be valuable recommendations to management for corrective actions.

  • Participates in audit planning including risk assessment, analytical review, and prioritization of key audit issues.

  • Provides support for other compliance and advisory activities for management and provides recommendations for corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of audit practices and procedures and a willingness to develop these skills

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Excellent written communication to be used in a variety of communication settings and styles.

  • Action oriented and full of energy to seek new challenges but remains focused on attainable and measurable improvements.

  • Willing to travel at moderate levels (20%).

  • Exhibits behaviors of honesty, commitment to goal achievement and effective relationships with colleagues.

  • Ability to use analysis, experience, and logical methods to solve challenging problems and can incorporate new methods for continuous improvement, both individually and in a team environment.

  • Pursues goals and objectives with energy, taking ownership of actions and willing to take decisive action even in the face of resistance or setbacks to push for results.

  • Ability to lead by example, acknowledge and assume responsibility for successes and failures in terms of actions, decisions, processes, and results.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related business field.

  • Two years of relevant accounting/auditing experience; preferably public accounting or construction accounting.

  • CPA, CIA, CISA or other relevant certification preferred or firm plans to obtain.

The Senior Quality Compliance Coordinator provides additional assistance with special projects including CAPA document management, Compliance-related IT projects (i.e., Form development), and training document creation/updates within the LMS system. Specific job duties: * Ensure SOPs and corresponding test assessments are created and updated within timely manner according to internal policies and procedures. Ensure appropriate formatting of SOP documents. * Act as initial point of contact for the Compliance Hotline * Monitor the Compliance Hotline for inquiries. Ensure inquiries are assigned to appropriate investigators. * Maintain confidentiality of inquiries. * Act as point of contact with third-party supplier supporting the Compliance Hotline, where needed. * Ensure backup coverage for Compliance Hotline. * Maintain and keep Compliance Hotline Tracker up-to-date * Perform follow-up where needed on Compliance inquiries * Provide Regulatory/Client Audit Support * Assist with audit scheduling and audit calendar maintenance * Assist with meeting logistics * CDA Requests * Auditor Code of Conduct * Setting up internal trackers and portals * Setting up and providing secure box access for auditor(s) where required * Performing conference room reservations and ordering lunch, where required, for on-site audits. * Assist with Quality Compliance document review prior to and during audit. * Ensure audit reports and responses are stored properly in an organized and retrievable format. * Provide assistance with Problem Notification Form (PNF) and CAPA data entry and administrative review. * Assist staff with creation, build, maintenance, and reporting of department and Company quality-related metrics. * Provide administrative support (i.e., agenda, minutes, metrics) for the Quality Management Council. * Assist with maintenance and storage of training files including signed Job Descriptions and Curriculum Vitae (CV). * Maintain Company organizational charts. * Assist in department-related special projects. * Assist with Learning Management System document management where needed. * Provide calendar management, travel arrangements and expense reimbursement Quality Compliance department leadership. * Book conference rooms, arrange catering and meeting management, manage divisional org chart and order all office supplies for the division. * Organize files and file room. * Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility: N/A Desired Skills and Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. * 1 - 2 years of relevant experience preferably within a regulated pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry. * Proficient PC knowledge required including Microsoft Office Suite and Internet, SharePoint. * Excellent written and oral communication skills essential for professional phone and email interactions. * Good interpersonal skills. * Continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. * Ability to work independently. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to interact and work within a team environment. * Ability to keep sensitive information confidential. * Preferred experience working within the bounds of Standard Operating Procedures/policies. * Preferred experience providing project support.
