Internal Auditor

The Internal Auditor supports the Internal Audit department's day-to-day functions which include basic/fundamental analysis of financial data and assisting with the execution of the internal audit plan under the direction of a manager. The Internal Auditor is responsible for gathering and reporting information required to complete assigned auditing procedures, drafting written results of assigned audit areas and making suggestions for improvement.

Schedule and Location:

• The position has a hybrid work schedule consisting of Tuesday through Thursday in the office. Monday and Friday provide the option to work remotely or from the office.
• This open role is located at our modern ten-story corporate headquarters in Spring, Texas.

What You Will Do:

• Conduct internal audits of financial processes in a professional and courteous manner.
• Demonstrate understanding of business cycles and process controls.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, or areas of improvement.
• Prepare clear and concise audit reports that summarize risks, findings, and recommendations.
• Assist with performing and monitoring the effectiveness of internal controls.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 0-2 years of experience in Finance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of data privacy and security principles.
• Accurately and efficiently input financial data into spreadsheets or accounting system. Complete high-quality account reconciliations.
• Basic knowledge of financial and accounting systems, data analysis techniques and data visualization tools and software.
• Understand key performance indicators (KPIs) and their significance.
• Communicate basic insights from data analysis.
• Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System.
• Ability to demonstrate independent, objective, open-minded thinking with strong attention to detail and sound judgment.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to Manager and has no direct reports.
