The Internal Audit department is responsible for documenting, evaluating, and monitoring the status of disclosure controls and internal controls of the company and its subsidiaries, making recommendations of ways to attain compliance, and supporting the annual audit.
This position requires skill and experience in:
Executing designated internal audit testing programs; Supporting the annual external audit; Making recommendations on ways to attain compliance with internal controls and thereby obtain a clean annual audit opinion on the companys control environment under Additionally, the Senior Internal Auditor will provide counsel and proactive advice to interested Company parties concerning new systems, initiatives and services under development from an internal control, information security, and data integrity perspective.
Reporting to the Manager of Internal Audit, this position will enjoy working with clearly defined goals and objectives while working with a high degree of autonomy.
This position will travel an estimated 20-25% of the time.
Evaluate entity level controls and identify weaknesses.
Evaluate process, transaction, and application level internal controls and identify weaknesses.
Execute planned audits, prepare workpapers, and prepare draft audit reports to management.
Develop cost effective action plans and recommendations to eliminate or mitigate significant internal control weaknesses.
Coordinate with the External Auditors in support of the quarterly reviews and annual external audits including gathering and organizing documentation and preparing PBC schedules and preliminary testing.
Evaluate the design of new business processes, determine key internal control points and verify processes and reports have been designed to allow the company to maintain effective internal control.
Manage outside internal control consultants used in evaluating, eliminating or mitigating identified weaknesses in internal controls and recommend remedial action to enforce established internal control procedures.
Validate underlying consolidation of quarterly and annual SEC financial statements filings for forms 10-Q,10-K, and 8-K& tie out to financial statements and Overall Analytic Review (OAR) analyses.
Support quarterly and annual external auditor reviews.
Participate in the design and implementation of new business processes, determine key internal control points and verify processes and reports have been designed that will allow the company to maintain adequate control.
Report to the Corporate Manager of Internal Audit known significant internal control gaps and company progress in eliminating or mitigating those gaps.
Act as a resource for financial managers as company or industry specific questions arise and specific control issues are identified.QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in a business or business related field.
Active or recently CPA.
3 years of experience with a National firm, Big 4 preferred.
Public company audit experience including significant SOX audit experience.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting.
Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, Section 404, Internal Controls over Financial Reporting and Rules.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
