Position Overview Navistar has a great opportunity for an Internal Audit & Compliance Associate Manager. The Internal Audit & Compliance Associate Manager is responsible for planning, performing, supervising and reporting on financial, information technology, and operational audits and compliance.
Responsibilities include one or more of the following: Maintain company policy management system Will develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and related documentation Review and evaluate company procedures and able to identify risks or common issues. Develop training and lead employee trainings Assist with development of annual internal audit and corporate compliance.
Including identification of audit universe, conducting related risk assessment and re-assess financial materiality threshold. Assist with semi-annual Enterprise Risk Management, including interviewing key executives, prioritizing highest risk and assessing management's mitigation plans. Lead team to perform high-value internal audits which generate process improvements, policy changes, and enhanced internal control structure.
Lead audit project life cycle in accordance with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and department policies: Scope
Use risk analysis techniques to determine project objective, areas of focus, and audit program. Execution
Coordinate activities to ensure adherence to the audit scope and that the audit program is appropriately executed. Wrap-Up
Confirm audit results are properly supported and perform quality assessment review. Reporting
Write audit reports with well-defined issues, root causes are identified and corrective actions include input from operations and management. Adhere to budget goals, meet deadlines and communicate difficulties timely.
Stay abreast of leading practices both internally and externally and provide conduit for introducing those practices to the department. Provide continuous on-the-job training, coaching/mentoring, and career growth opportunities for staff. Assist in characterizing and prioritizing internal audit observations.
Perform follow-up of observations to ensure adequacy and timeliness of action plans. Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree At least 4 years of audit, accounting or finance experience OR Master's degree At least 2 years of audit, accounting or finance experience OR At least 6 years of audit, accounting or finance experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Regulatory compliance experience (e.g. analyst, specialist, manager), highly preferred Knowledge of legal and/or regulatory compliance requirements Solid understanding of U.S.
