Hagie Manufacturing is seeking a qualified candidate to be part of our high performing Paint team in Clarion, IA.

The paint department is comprised of twelve substations that take Hagie products through a series of steps ending in quality paint coverage with accurate kitting of product. All painters are expected to be cross trained and perform other jobs within the department.

Essential Functions::

  • Primer and Paint Booth Station: Responsible for preparing product for initial and final coats of paint while ensuring that finish paint coverage meets Hagie Paint and Surface standards. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the spray equipment including fluid and air settings, positioning, techniques, and procedures in all coating positions, and the ability to perform rework as necessary including blending.

  • Will thoroughly clean all painting equipment and assigned areas, as required to maintain proper working order and clean working environment.

  • Will perform ongoing minor troubleshooting and maintenance of spray equipment, guns, air supply and other equipment necessary to perform job duties.

Additional Department Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for loading the product on the paint line conveyor system via hoists or other available methods of material handling. Additionally, smaller parts are manually loaded onto a conveyor system. Employees are responsible for quality inspection of the product as they prepare it for loading on the moving line; line moves at about 9 to 10 feet per minute.

  • Wash/Dry/Surface Prep: Put product on and take product off line

  • Off Loading: Responsible for removing product from moving conveyor or booth transferring product to carts or pallets, and attaching appropriate paperwork for final distribution in the plant.

  • Ability to work an on-call schedule seasonally if required.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and engineering prints.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measureusing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to perform basic computer functions to include written correspondence, email, and spreadsheets.

  • Ability to learn and utilize business systems to include XA Browser, Green Screen, and Catavolt.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Other skills and abilities include time management, the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, strong customer orientation, strong team player abilities, and a commitment to company values.

  • Must be able to work at heights of up to 16 feet on ladders and portable stairs.

  • Must have, or be able to obtain forklift certification.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Med Science Liaison II-Northern Illinois, Northern Indiana, Cardiovascular & Renal YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Nephrology Medical Science Liaison II, are to: * Complete core training curriculum and basic MSL Certification; * Have full participation in therapeutic area updates or training initiatives e.g. journal clubs; * Be part of medical conference attendance and reviews; * Have routine self-paced reading of current publications; * Have professional licensure with CEU documentation where applicable; * Complete recertification and advanced certification were applicable; * Lead journal reviews and team discussions; * Coordinate or lead internal training initiatives; * Have criteria based selection and validation to identify and confirm opinion leader (OL) status; * Have routine contacts with OLs; * Research site identification and investigator sponsored study (ISS) support; * Give speaker training and evaluation; * Provide advisory Board Support; * Advisory Board coordination or presentation at meeting; * Liaison between OLs and internal partners; * Give direct scientific exchange; * Give presentations to external audiences; * Give timely, accurate, specific and balanced responses to professional requests for information (PIR) in collaboration with Medical Communications; * Adhere to SOP and FDA guidance for distribution of scientific information; * Adhere to SOP and compliance guidelines for all external contacts; * Give presentations to internal audiences including medical affairs (MA) and commercial partners; * Be a team member for strategic internal projects with cross-functiona partners; * Establish and maintain contact with relevant medical, research and educational societies within assigned geography; * Attend and report on local, regional and national meetings; * Identify educational gaps and opportunities within regional and national organizations; * Coordinate team coverage of major national meetings including program evaluation, required attendance and high-quality meeting reports; * Ascertain and report current therapeutic area trends and another field intelligence; * Review and share current guidelines and treatment protocols for internal review; * Report relevant competitive activity; * Report new compound development information and potential collaborations when appropriate or requested in line with corporate strategy; * Complete and timely documentation of interactions and contacts within appropriate databases; * Make administrative reports, such as expense reports and status reports completed in a timely manner; * Collaborate as an internal scientific expert; * Provide resource development and review e.g FDA Ad Com preparation; * Lead project teams or task forces within Medical Affairs; * Contribute to product development initiatives in collaboration with Global Product Development or other internal partners; * Lead internal training initiatives; * Establish and enhance Bayer Healthcare's (BHC) image of scientific excellence and integrity with United States healthcare providers; * Establish and maintain long-term engagement with opinion leaders and academic centers of excellence regarding BHC scientific initiatives and business objectives; * Help to ensure the safe and effective use of the BHC portfolio of products; * Discover additional portfolio opportunities for BHC via research collaboration or expert consultation; * Provide strategic insight to internal business partners that result in efficient decisions and continual process improvement; * Utilize their advanced technical competence and refined interpersonal skills to represent Bayer as a scientific based organization with integrity; * Contribute to the Medical Affairs team to enhance communication between healthcare providers and internal partners improving communication with thought leaders while ensuring that all interactions adhere to the compliance guidelines; * Contribute to other internal teams depending on the specific internal initiatives and the background of the individual MSL.
