Job Responsibilities

The Cosmetology Program Coordinator reports directly to the Department Head for Spa and Personal Services. The program coordinator will lead instruction for all cosmetology-related programs. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance, and advising students.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a cosmetology license and a cosmetology instructor's license, years of cosmetology industry-related experience and teaching at the college level, and two (2) years of progressively responsible related work/teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have experience and credentials appropriate for teaching in the Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Nail Technology programs. In addition to the current SC Cosmetology Instructor License, the employee must be competent in lesson preparation, classroom presentation, and curriculum development/management in these program areas.

Successful candidates will have related experience with Barbering skills, Trichology knowledge, Holistic wellness, and Hair replacement and restoration. Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must. Strong Microsoft Office skills are a must.
