Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

Engineering Intern needed in Mesquite to create hundreds of parts within IFS. This will enable us to properly plan material, control stock levels, establish corresponding vendors and ultimately support the high-volume production on the line. Will interface

with multiple departments across the business, understanding the coordination and collaboration required bewteen departments for business operations to be succesful.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.

• Assists with technical tasks and project support.

• Supports equipment set up and monitors tests and experiments.

• Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.

• Learns technical processes and procedures.

• Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.

• May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.

• Handles basic issues and problems

Qualifications

Education:

• Must be currently enrolled in related Technical courses

• Discipline/Major: Engineering, or related degree

• No prior experience needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Oral and written communication skills.

• Attentiveness

• Ability to understand and follow directions

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred:

• Experience with start ups, such as project planning, and establishing business processes, management systems, and work instructions is desired. This is an exciting opportunity to create the business processes, systems, and culture to stand up a high performing manufacturing operation.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

• May need to stand for long periods of time.

• May work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Travel:

• Little to no travel likely.
