The National Grid SustainabilityHub is a collaborative, community engagement destination designed to elevatethe conversation around the future of energy and the environment. The 'Hub'openingin downtown Brooklyn at the end of 2018will offer an interactive experiencewhere visitors learn how they can take action towards creating a clean energyfuture. Exhibits will include information about energy efficiency, gas safety andways to reduce energy consumption and bills.
The 'Hub' interns willbe a group of trained and qualified students, acting as brand ambassadors for
National Grid. They will be dedicated to supporting the National Grid customerexperience at the 'Hub' by interfacing directly with all visitors, includingmembers of the public, National Grid customers, local businesses, students,community organizations and internal stakeholders, as well as helping to promote and socializethe 'Hub' internally and externally.
Staff'Hub' during assigned part-time shift
Addressall visitors in a professional and customer-focused manner
Conduct'Hub' tours for members of the public, National Grid customers, localbusinesses, students, community organizations and internal stakeholders
Answervisitor questions and refer any escalated concerns to the 'Hub' Manager orappropriate National Grid contact
Assist visitorswith use of energy efficiency products (i.e. programmable thermostats, appliances) locatedwithin the 'Hub'
Supportevents at the 'Hub' and within local communities to promote energy efficiency,gas safety, and products and services
Leadprojects to assist in 'Hub' operations, including promoting and socializing the'Hub' through dedicated social media channels, and developing PowerPointpresentations and other content to support the education, andgrowth of the 'Hub' and National Grid's business
Assistin the development of marketing collateral to aid in the promotion and sale ofenergy efficiency products and services
Attend all energy efficiency training and relatedprogram updates

Applicant must have accumulated 18 or more credits and be 18 years of age
Authorized to work in the United States for the entire duration of the internship
Registered in school as a full-time student
Ability to work up to 20 hours/week during the school year
Providea valid transcript before beginning assignment
Working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Environment, Engineering or Marketing is preferred
Highly proficient in English communications (Spanish / Chinese / Vietnamese a plus)
Proficientin relevant software (i.e. Microsoft Office products
Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Abilityto quickly learn new software for digital signage media updates (i.e. BrightSign)
Outstandingjudgment and professional demeanor
Mustpass Human Resource new hire screening (medical and background)
