The JM Family College Internship program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. The program is a 10 week paid internship located in Deerfield Beach, FL. Students must be available to intern from June 3 - August 9, 2019. Students in the program will actively contribute to their team's success, learn about JM Family's company and culture and obtain new skills through learning opportunities and networking events. The individual selected for this internship will be responsible for supporting their department in a variety of functions and will have exposure to activities related to the department's initiatives. The intern will also gain access to professional development opportunities through the internship program. Some of these opportunities include business presentation skills classes, lunch and learns and career readiness workshops.
The individual selected for this internship will be responsible for supporting the Southeast Toyota, Distribution team in a variety of functions. This internship will provide the opportunity to support day to day operational functions including process improvement initiatives, participating in allocation processes and conducting market research.
Assist with defining, analyzing and documenting our current allocation & distribution processes
Assisting with dealer bids, damaged vehicles, and tracking aged inventory
Assist with Company Cars and Demos
Assist with the creation of materials for Inventory Manager Training and Certification
Locating vehicles and changing vehicle tags
Ad hoc requests as necessary
VPC Prioritization - work with the Vehicle Processing Centers in Jacksonville and Commerce to ensure that sold units and low days supply series are prioritized
Dealership Inventory Analysis - Review VIN Sight, the Dealership Pipeline Management System and internal reporting tools to ensure that Dealers are monitoring and actively making changes to their inventory to align with their inventory strategy.

Must be a minimum of 18 years old at the start of the program (June 3, 2019)
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university in Business Marketing, Logistics
Completed at least one semester of study at an accredited college or university
Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google
Experience with video editing and content creation a plus
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and creative thinking required
Excellent analytical skills to balance proper inventory levels to meet Dealer's and SET's inventory strategy
Ability to review and make recommendations on vehicle logistics and disposal to maximize value
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment
Relationship building at all levels
The person in this position needs to occasionally walk outside the office to locate vehicles and change vehicles tags
