As an intern for SEO AI & Content you will be challenged to think critically and creatively both individually and as part of the team. Over the course of this internship, you will be presented with the opportunity to experience different areas in the Digital Marketing space that will help enrich your understanding of all the opportunities available in AI, content, and social media as it relates to SEO and Performance Marketing. This position will report to the Director of Performance Marketing.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with SEO team to understand SGE content and partner with cross functional partners within the Marketing department including the community and design teams to assisting in the planning and execution of brand initiatives across platforms through the creation and optimization of content:

• Conduct keyword research for onsite, and offsite content by product, category, and landing page

• Collaborate on relevant SEO & Community content calendars for seasonal and program content creation and communicate content priorities to ensure alignment with priorities

• Implement content optimization strategy including naming conventions, keyword optimizations, link selection, and asset selection recommendations to improve native channel engagement, website traffic, and SEO backlink profile

• Assist in SEO/ SGE optimizations for homepage creative, promotional content, video, social media campaigns, events, blogs, and other company related tasks

• Translate brand campaigns and ecommerce needs into product-forward messaging that drives sales with copy that employs fun, descriptive, and customer appropriate content

• Create reporting to measure the outcome of SEO efforts over time: capture program performance to measure progress against established KPI's and identify opportunities to optimize based on data

• Participate in strategic planning and team collaboration meetings and showcase a desire to learn about industry trends, news, best practices specific to SEO, and their impact on other programs

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit

• Must be 18 years of age

• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas

• Self-directed: can take direction; as well as work well independently or in a team environment

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong writing skills to produce high quality content including informative search-optimized content, and creative on brand social media content on a quick turnaround

• Strong passion for creativity, digital marketing, showing an interest in the process, and a willingness to learn

• Thoughtful approach and detail-oriented; organization skills and ability to work effectively and multi-task, with an analytical mindset to problem-solve

• Great sense of humor and ability to maintain strong relationships with different personality types

• Desire to be part of a close-knit team, learning from others and assisting where needed

Physical/Environmental Demands and Overtime & Availability:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a small amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Adequate movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Team members are required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
