Overview
With the help from other development and test engineers in the team, you will apply software development and test skillset to develop and verify mobile app being developed in the department. You will thrive in an inter-disciplinary team environment comprising researchers, clinicians, and engineers who are passionate about translating novel concepts for merging cochlear prosthetic devices with the connected world of today to practical solutions for connecting patients to the world of sound.
What you'll do:
The Software Intern will help be responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance across multiple software development projects, including both manual and automated testing.
Help ensure the delivery of high-quality software on time
Proactively and effectively communicate with team members, software developers, and management regarding QA status and deliverables, highlighting risks and issues
Execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
Identify coverage deficiencies and enhance the test coverage
Review test plans/cases with developers and manager to ensure consistency and adherence to functional requirement documents
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Follow standard testing procedures and provide recommendations for improvement
Be assigned a personal mentor for daily support and guidance
