Job Description:

To provide practical, professional experience for the college student while contributing to the overall goals of their designated department. The intern will assume a primary role in projects working either independently or as part of a team, as well as perform other activities that will support the over all objectives of the area they are assigned to.

This Vascular Access Product Marketing Intern will work directly with VA Product Managers on a daily basis, creating downstream marketing material for two commercial product launches this summer (including collateral creation, sales metrics reporting, and weekly updates). The intern would also be involved in new business opportunity model creation, product catalog creation, excel workbook formatting, and updating of existing marketing materials.

  • Work on projects that will help develop analytical, audit, research, testing and validation skills.

  • Attend and participate in department meetings.

  • Develop and maintain documentation and forms.

  • Use Excel, Word, Project Management, or Visio to create correspondence, spreadsheets, forms, graphs, flowcharts, etc.

  • Provide customer service to the department's internal and external customers.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality and regulatory/legal requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Quantifying and prioritizing market opportunity. * Provide support to new product introduction going from the early stage (identifying the need, strategic fit, prioritization, competitive landscape, prototyping, etc) to support of business case (ie. Pricing, positioning) & launch (ie. Internal/external communication, marketing material, segmentation) * Understand customer profiles including penetration & share of wallet. Participate on the definition on the go to market strategy & communication. Work with the wider marketing teams to launch programs to improve internal/external visibility. * Defining brand (naming & trademarks), value proposition(s), and competitive positioning claims roadmap for new and existing products. * Interviewing professional societies and advocacy groups to identify and select key opinion leaders (KOL) for thought leadership and awareness building. Supports development of regional KOL's in collaboration with Regional Product Marketing. * Coordinating development of marketing assets and product training materials (in cooperation with Marketing Services & the product team).
