Working closely with the Product Engineering team, the intern will assist with our development and validation of new products. The intern will work closely on multiple disciplines, including, but not limited to concept and detailed electro-mechanical component and assembly design, testing, mechanical simulations, and working within a cross functional development team.
The intern will receive training and experience with working in a small group of Engineers and Technicians on current and new projects. Additional responsibilities include: executing tasks under the general direction of the Engineering Manager on developing documentation to assist in product development, bill of material work, and final assembly drawings.
The successful incumbent will have an educational background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a strong command of CAD (Solidworks preferred) and MS Office. Must be detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At least junior level in a Bachelor's program majoring in Mechanical, Electrical or a related field
3.0/4.0 GPA or better
Strong interest in the field of Product Engineering
Strong knowledge of CAD (preferably Solidworks)
Comfortable working in an environment with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads, and goals
